A little life update
So I officiall graduated this month, and I’ve been trying to find my feet and figure out what I want to do. I firstly celebrated y having a weekend away in Whitby with my partner. It’s one of our favourite places in the world and I spent our sketching and painting either by the abbey, the sea, or in a coffee shop. I also tried my and at video editing, to compile a memory of our time there.
I also tried to make time to see some of my friends, with hand in being so quickly followed by moving home I had a rely seen my friends and I took time to catch up and see them again, and I had missed sharing my lif with them so much.
I started up my TikTok account! I finally bit the bullet and began posting my art on my TikTok alongside instagram. I am really enjoying video editing, I just need to get better at filming the process, I am currently looking at better set ups for filming and creating content, as I don’t think my bedroom floor will cut it.
Jobs (or lack there of)
Who knew that applying for jobs in an oversaturated industry in the middle of a recession wouldn’t go well? I’m trying to get my hands on anything that I can get and it is exhausting! I feel like I am spending ages applying to jobs to only hear an auto generated reply back, which is quite exhausting! But I heard September is better for job applications so we’ll see how it goes!
Projects! If you follow me on my instagram you will see the couple of things I have been working on recently!
Shop.
I have really neglected my redbubble and I really enjoyed updating it with new designs, and giving it a spruce and a spring clean.
Rocks.
After a trip to the Bach and hoarding all of the rocks and shells that I could fit in my pockets, I was inspired to create a ‘marvellous minerals’ collection. I wanted to create something that could be used for a leaflet in a museum, or a shop, but when the main illustration was done I developed it further into a clothing and accessory pattern!
Morgana
Since I am an unemployed graduate what else should I do other than re watch show from y childhood? At the moment my brain has chosen Merlin. And I want nothing else other than to study Morgan Le Fay at the moment. It has been so interesting and I would definitely consider this a passion project.
I studied medieval patterns and dress, and wanted to create a double page infographic illustration about her. I think I could turn this into a series of misunderstood women perhaps, or witchcraft? I’ll have to see!
